Former Superintendent Tom Boasberg made the following statement in support of our trans性别 students:

“Denver Public 学校 will always welcome, support 而且 protect our diverse student body. Supporting the whole child includes making sure all of our students feel 安全 而且 respected at school, regardless of their 性别认同. DPS will continue our 政策及实务 of support 而且 股本 for all students regardless of their 性别认同, 还有移民身份, 比赛, color, 国家的起源, 残疾, 宗教, 信仰或性取向.”

Members of the Denver Public 学校 教育委员会 have unanimously declared their commitment to protecting the legal rights of all students, 无论移民身份如何, 国家的起源, 宗教或种族, with the 安全 而且 迎宾学区 resolution. In the resolution, the board states the following:

 … the district shall do everything in its lawful power to protect our students’ confidential 信息 而且 ensure that our students’ learning environments are not disrupted by immigration enforcement actions …

Our students speak more than 140 different langu年龄s 而且 we proudly serve immigrant 而且 refugee students in our six Newcomer Centers throughout our district. To respond to frequently-asked questions about immigrant rights, we have created an FAQ in our 10 most common langu年龄s.

The district legal team created these responses to questions such as, ‘What impact does undocumented immigration status have on my child’s education?’ 而且 ‘If I am a parent or guardian 而且 I am worried about being detained while my child is at school, 我该怎么办??’

Denver Public 学校 is committed to ensuring all students feel 安全 而且 welcome in our schools. 最近的全国性银河电子官网游艺, we know some families may have particular questions about their children who are of the Muslim faith.
